DIY Crib Skirt & Crib Sheet

I am all about custom and DIY projects - especially for the nursery. And now that we are finally planning our own nursery (squee!) - I know just the fabric I would use - Heather Bailey's Nicey Jane. Of course I have a more blue version if it's a boy (above) and a more pink version (below) if it's a girl! We won't know which one for a few more weeks yet, but once we do I'm heading to my favorite local fabric shop - Clementine's Dry Goods and picking me up a few yards to get started!

I'm wanting to make our own crib sheet and skirt and maybe even a little quilt for our little one!

Found this Hanging Hearts Mobile on sale at Pottery Barn Kids - isn't is adorable? Definitely inspiration for a sewing project! And would be a cute accent for a nursery! Just need a little ribbon, a hoop of some sort, stuffing and matching fabric!

I need to get sewing again - it's been awhile. In fact, I was telling my husband that I was starting a garage sale pile of stuff from around the house and he asked if my sewing machine was in it! I hope he was just joking because I am so happy to finally have one - just have been in a funk with what to make next.
