Baby Boom?
Check out these cuties posted on Blogger's Blogger Buzz Blog (say that one three times!) - all three are little ones born recently to Blogger staff. Cute huh?!
"More babies were born in the United States last year (2007) than ever before, according to preliminary data from National Center for Health Statistics, but it's not another baby boom just yet," states the Associated Press article posted on msnbc.com.
So what do you think? Are we having a baby boom?

Go With the Flo
Combining multiple functions into a single device, Flo, from Boon:Innovations For Modern Parents, provides a simple solution to several bath time challenges. This unique product diverts the flow of water, creating a gentle waterfall, while providing a protective faucet cover to help guard against injury. Flo also functions as a bubble bath dispenser.
Flo attaches easily to the bathtub faucet with a spring-activated grip that requires no assembly or special installation. When the water is turned on, it’s diverted into a stream that extends up to 12 inches in front of the faucet, creating a gentle waterfall and making rinsing hair easy. The soft material on the front edge of Flo helps protect against injuries caused by bumping or scraping against the faucet. Parents can fill the bubble bath reservoir and let children dispense bubbles into the water by pressing the button on the front.
- Improves access to water flow
- Helps protect against injury
- Dispenses bubble bath
- Allows access to shower diverter
Check out Boon's website for this and more great products!

Gender Neutral But Beautiful Nursery Decor
Isn't this the most adorable nursery? I think it is perfect for boy and girl twins (the decor is gender neutral - but darling at the same time). I really love the owl lamp, the neutral yet plush furniture and the birds and eggs pictures above the changing table. Just adorable! And it goes along with my birds and nests obsession!
Calming and modern - just gorgeous!

Boon Squirt Baby Food Spoon
This Boon Baby Food Dispensing Spoon from Cheeky Monkey would have been helpful to have in the house when I babysat for my friend's 6 month old - who is just starting out on babyfood. Him and I were both horribly awkward at the whole procedure. He kept spitting it out and I kept spreading the mess more and more around his mouth. :)
This handy little spoon keeps the babyfood right inside of it - a simple squeeze puts more out on the spoon. No more scrambling at the jar between bites.
Pretty cool - a definite must have for busy new parents!

Modern Baby Shower Present Ideas for Hip New Parents
Baby's First Book
This beautiful baby book is as much fun to fill out as it will be for your baby to read one day. In 24 pages, it covers lots of great topics your child will be curious about, like "How Mom & Dad Met" and "How We Picked Your Name." It also includes a vellum envelope to store a snippet from baby's first haircut or other mementos of your choosing. A great memory book for any child!
Organic Socks & Onesies
Onesies are a baby staple for everyday dressing, but the super-snazzy patterns make this set anything but basic. The kimono-style neckline and contrasting trim give these infant bodysuits a subtle sophistication, and the soft, stretchy knit is comfy and practical. They're also made of 100% organic combed cotton, so they're a healthy choice. Packaged in their very own gift box, they make a great gift for any new parent!
DwellStudio Soft Blocks
It's hard to improve on such a basic and classic toy, but DwellStudio has done just that with their fun fabric building blocks. These lovable blocks can be chewed on, sat on and even thrown with no worry of splinters or sharp corners. And to make sure they really hold your child's interest, they even rattle and jingle. Made from Egyptian cotton in fresh, contemporary colors.

A Pink "Ella-phant" Party
Photos from HWTM
No babies are on schedule for hubby and I, but I always see so many great ideas for baby showers - I am going to start posting them here to keep track for when we are ready to throw one.
My most recent obsession is a pink elephant baby shower party (or an "Ella-phant" party) for people, like our friend's - the Schwankes, who have a little one named Ella. They are thinking about planning a bash for her first birthday and, of course, that got the ideas rolling!
And, as always, Hostess With the Mostess has some great ideas to get me started.
Nesting Theme
Photo from Hostess With the Mostess's Blog Post
Recently found a baby shower closely themed to the one I just threw! Hostess with the Mostess wrote an article about Modern Nesting Themed Baby Showers for TheCradle.com. Adorable and very similar to the Bird & Bee's theme I used. I love HWTM's blog - she has so many inspirational ideas for modern party planning.
